Qigong (pronounced chee-gong) is an ancient Chinese mind-body-spirit practice that blends movement, breath, and intention to promote optimum health and wellness. It’s also been referred to as "energy yoga." There are thousands of styles of qigong – tai chi is the most well-known. We’ll practice various styles.
Tapping into the wisdom of Chinese Medicine, qigong flows are crafted for seasonal healing. During late summer, we embrace the earth element, focusing on spleen and stomach health. This transitional season centers on nurturing digestion, stability, and balance. These practices support feeling grounded, nourished, and content, while alleviating worry, overthinking, and rumination.
To support your wellness journey, we’ll end our flow with self-guided acupressure* and meditation.
*Acupressure involves applying pressure to key points on the body to relieve tension, pain, and stress, while promoting circulation and balanced energy flow (similar to acupuncture but without needles).
We do new routines each month, and classes are suitable for beginners and experts alike. Practice self-care by slowing down, focusing your attention inward, and leave feeling refreshed and with a greater sense of peace.
