Qigong (pronounced chee-gong) is an ancient Chinese mind-body-spirit practice that blends movement, breath, and intention to promote optimum health and wellness. It’s also been referred to as "energy yoga." There are thousands of styles of qigong – tai chi is the most well-known. We’ll practice various styles.
Tapping into the wisdom of Chinese Medicine, qigong flows are crafted for seasonal healing. During winter, we’ll focus on kidney and urinary bladder health, enhancing vitality, circulation, and brain function. These practices also strengthen the lower back, knees, and bones, allow you to move through stress with greater ease, and cultivate confidence.
To support your wellness journey, we’ll end our flow with self-guided acupressure. Acupressure involves applying pressure to key points on the body to relieve tension, pain, and stress, while promoting circulation and balanced energy flow (similar to acupuncture but without needles).
